What Amplicity is, why industrial batteries are worth optimising, and how our platform is different from what you already run on site.

  • What exactly does Amplicity do?

Amplicity transforms industrial battery systems from cost centres into revenue-generating energy assets.

We connect existing UPS and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to our intelligent control platform, enabling them to reduce electricity costs, participate in electricity markets and generate recurring revenue, all while preserving their primary role as backup power.

Where it makes economic sense, we also finance and deploy additional battery capacity, allowing industrial facilities to accelerate their decarbonisation without significant upfront capital investment.

  • Why are industrial batteries underutilised today?

Most industrial batteries were installed for resilience rather than economic optimisation.

They are designed to remain idle, waiting for a power outage that may never occur. As a result, valuable energy assets often sit unused for more than 99% of their lifetime.

Amplicity changes that. We enable these batteries to generate value every day while always preserving the level of backup protection required by your operations.

  • Is Amplicity a SaaS platform?

No. Amplicity is not a SaaS company and we do not simply sell software subscriptions.

We act as an operating partner for your energy assets. Our team manages the battery optimisation strategy, market participation and value creation on your behalf.

Our software, algorithms and control systems are proprietary tools used internally to operate your assets and maximise performance. Our commercial model is aligned with results: we are remunerated based on the value we help create.

  • Why Amplicity instead of a traditional Energy Management System?

Traditional Energy Management Systems typically focus on monitoring consumption and optimising on-site energy use.

Amplicity goes further by optimising the economics of your energy infrastructure. Beyond behind-the-meter optimisation, we enable batteries to participate in electricity markets, unlock new revenue streams, support battery capacity expansion where economically justified and offer performance-based financing models aligned with the value created.

Amplicity can also work alongside an existing EMS. We do not need to replace systems already used by your facility; instead, we can complement them by adding a dedicated battery optimisation and market participation layer.

Our objective is not simply to manage energy more efficiently. It is to maximise the financial value of your energy assets.

  • What does “edge-native” mean, and why does it matter?

Edge-native means our control software runs locally on your site rather than relying exclusively on cloud connectivity.

This enables fast response times for grid services, improves operational resilience and allows the system to continue operating even during internet outages.

For operators of critical infrastructure, local intelligence provides an additional layer of security, reliability and performance.
