Tariff optimisation is the umbrella term for using battery dispatch to fit a site's retail tariff structure precisely. Depending on the market and the retail contract, that can mean:
- Reducing peak demand (kVA / kW) charges
- Reducing capacity charges on contracted-capacity tariffs
- Avoiding time-of-use peak windows
- Balancing between rooftop-solar export windows (where relevant) and peak-tariff windows
- Staying inside a contracted band on band-priced retail
