Singapore startup Amplicity raises $1M for battery tech
Tech in Asia on Amplicity's seed round and the edge-native control architecture behind our industrial battery platform.
Tech in Asia reports on Amplicity's $1M seed round and the technology behind the raise: an edge-native control architecture that turns industrial and backup batteries into productive, revenue-generating energy assets.
Amplicity is a Singapore-based startup building the control layer that lets industrial sites and data centres use their existing UPS and battery infrastructure in three ways at once: maintaining full backup protection, dispatching stored energy to cut peak charges, and bidding spare capacity into energy markets for recurring revenue.
The round was led by strategic angels with continued backing from ENGIE. Funds will support the first commercial deployments in Singapore and Australia - two markets where energy prices are volatile enough to make idle backup batteries a meaningful revenue opportunity.
